This regulation is stipulated on the principle of safety and economy to prevent accidents. Every teacher should study and abide by this regulation to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
Ⅰ Regulation of Dorm Safety Management
1、Foreign teachers must abide by the laws of the P.R.C. and the regulations of Nantong Vocational University(NTVU).
2、Foreign teachers should live in the place arranged by NTVU. If they want to live outside occasionally, foreign teachers should report to School of International Co-education to assure the personal safety of foreign teachers.
3、If they want to leave their domicile for other cities or towns, foreign teachers should report to International School of International Co-education. During the trip, foreign teachers should obey the traffic rules and pay attention to traffic safety.
4、In order to keep the electric circulation stable, Ultra-high-power electrical appliances and shoddy electrical appliances are not allowed in the dorm except those supplied or permitted by this university. All rooms are not allowed to change the circuit, or put private wiring.
5、All foreign teachers should take care of their passports, cash and other personal stuff. Do not keep expensive stuff or large amount of cash in the dorms and remember to close the doors and windows to prevent fire or theft.
6、No pets or dangerous goods are allowed in the dorms. Turn off all electrical appliances except the refrigerator. Please switch off the power while being away from university.
7、Anyone who violates the above requirements and results in any bad consequences shall bear the associated legal liability of China.
Ⅱ Regulation of Dorm Life Management
1、Foreign teachers must go to the Foreign Affairs Office to register and get their keys to their dorm. Every one should live in their designated accommodation room; it is not allowed to swap rooms without permission.
2、The furniture and equipment provided are specialized by the individual and should not be moved out of the room freely or lent to others. Please use them carefully.
3、Foreign teachers should not house their guests. If the relatives of a foreign teacher come and need to stay, and if Foreigh Affairs Office grants permission, still they should go through accommodation formalities twelve hours before their guest arrives at the university according to the regulations. If foreign teachers keep their guests overnight, they will be punished depending on the circumstances given. Accommodation fee will be collected by this university in accordance with the highest foreign-related hotel.
4、If foreign teachers do not live in their dorms during holidays, their should report to School of International Co-education in time. School of International Co-education should send it to Foreign Affairs Office after summarizing. Housing keys must be properly kept or given to Foreign Affairs Office. It is not allowed to ask somebody else to keep them or lend to others.
5、Please save water and electricity and keep the public place clean.
6、If anything is broken such as appliances, power, please contact the guard office downstairs and fill out a form or call foreign teacher liaisons.
7、Foreign teachers must leave the university, within ten days after the expiration of the contract. Before leaving the university, the dorms must be cleaned up. Dorm supplies must be transferred according the list, and, if anything is damaged, it must be paid according to the price of compensation. Apartment keys should be returned to Foreign Affairs Office.
8、If any difficulty in work or daily life is encountered, please promptly contact the liaison. And liaison will report to School of International Co-education or Foreign Affairs Office to solve the problems.
9、Anyone who violates the above requirements and results in any bad consequences shall bear the associated legal liability of China.
Ⅲ Regulation of Dorm-visiting Management
1、The visitors (including the foreigners) should fill the interview form with their ID, work certificate, and some relevant valid documents in the janitor’s room before visiting. The forms have to be given back to janitors with the guest signatures. The visiting time is between 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
2、Our personnel are not allowed to visit foreigners freely, in case of disturbing their work or rest. If necessary, the interviews should be conducted once an appointment has been arranged.
3、The visitors should obey the regulations of our university and pay attention not to disturb the work, study and rest of others.
4、If journalists want to interview the foreigners, they should hold their journalists ID and interview license, fill the forms with the permission of Foreign Affairs Office. Foreign Affairs Office has the right to stop any actions unconformable to their status or interview aims.
